British-Indian actor Tara Sharma was spotted wearing this gorgeous mini dress at the Grey Goose Style Party in Mumbai. Tara made her debut in 2002 with Anupam Kher’s Om Jai Jagdish. Her first hit was in 2004 with the comedy Masti. Here are a few simple steps to achieve this glamorous look:
Tara’s hair is backcombed and pinned up. The rest of it is swept to the side. This look is easily achieved when you backcomb your hair a little, push it to the front and pin it in the back. Let the rest of the loose hair hang on the side.
Her make-up is simple and pretty; bronzed cheeks, kohl-lined eyes and a bright pout. We recommend using Hashmi Kohl available at your local stores (Rs150), Etude bronzer (Rs1,200) and a raspberry tone lipstick like Maybelline Raspberry rush (Rs700).
The dress looks like a piece of jewellery on its own, so we’re glad she kept it low on the accessories. She’s wearing small pearls in her ears and a ring; for similar accessories, check out your local stores or Accessorize.
This dress is supremely sexy; it has gold sequins all over with teal blue and orange fabric incorporated into the dress to give it colour and texture. It’s super chic with the long sleeves and boat neck. To find a similar dress, be sure to check out Nadiya Mistry and Mantra (prices may vary). For a cheaper option, you could always get the work copied from your local market and get it stitched.
Her shoes give her the added height she needs, although we really wish she would have painted her toenails a bright orange. Similar shoes are easily available at stores like Charles and Keith, Vincci or Marie Claire (Rs3,000)
