Shreya Chaudhry, the leading lady of Bandish Bandits Season 2, is basking in the limelight for her stellar performance in the popular series. However, her recent fitness transformation story has captured as much attention as her acting chops. The actress shared her inspiring journey of overcoming self-doubt and taking control of her health, crediting Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan as a pivotal influence.
From Struggles to Strength
In her teenage years, Shreya struggled with being overweight, which often led to feelings of insecurity and self-doubt. Recalling her turning point, Shreya said, “I was always the chubby kid in the room. It felt like no matter what I did, I couldn’t lose my weight enough. Then came Hrithik Roshan, and as a fan girl, his fitness journey has been truly inspiring. He spoke openly about his struggles and how he overcame them, and I couldn’t be more inspired to win one day at a time. I also wanted to take control of my own fitness.”
Fitness as Therapy
Sharing more about her transformation, Shreya revealed that she turned to boxing as her go-to fitness regime. “Boxing wasn’t just a workout; it was therapy. Initially, I was skeptical, but then I laced up my gloves for the first session and quickly fell in love with the sport. I realized that the biggest fight is always the one within you,” she said. Boxing became a metaphor for resilience, reminding her that setbacks are stepping stones to success.
An Appreciation for Her Idol
On social media, Shreya shared before-and-after pictures of her fitness journey, alongside a heartfelt note acknowledging Hrithik Roshan’s influence on her life. She wrote, “I remember reading an article about Hrithik Roshan, my forever crush, about being fit and how he handled his ups and downs. In hindsight, I think I owe my fitness journey to him. This is an appreciation post for my cinematic idol who inspired me to make my health a priority. You inspire millions, including me.”
Shreya’s fitness journey has not only transformed her physically but has also empowered her acting career. With her newfound confidence, she is set to star in Boman Irani’s directorial debut, The Mehta Boys, alongside Avinash Tiwary, slated for release in 2025.
