While discounted ticket pricing and aggressive promotional offers played a key role in driving footfalls on Friday, the film showed strong legs on Saturday and Sunday, proving its merit with audience word-of-mouth doing the heavy lifting.
Day-wise figures stood at Rs. 7.20 crore on Friday, Rs. 9.81 crore on Saturday, and an even stronger Rs. 11.70 crore on Sunday. What’s heartening is that the gains were not limited to national chains alone – non-national chains and single screens also held their own, with mass belts performing in the ‘good to decent’ range.
With a robust weekend behind it, all eyes are now on the crucial Monday test. A steady hold on Day 4 will be a decisive indicator of Bhool Chuk Maaf’s long-term prospects at the box office.
