Diljit Dosanjh is ready to bring the Aura World Tour home. The Punjabi superstar opens the India leg at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday, October 30, after a week that saw a date change, a police permission scare and plenty of confusion among fans.
Delhi Police had temporarily withheld permission for the concert, citing specific threat-related inputs and security commitments during the festive season. After organisers submitted a detailed safety, crowd-management and traffic plan, permission was granted. BookMyShow, which is organising the show, said the permission had been “temporarily withheld, not cancelled” and confirmed the concert will go ahead as scheduled, running from 4 PM to around 10 PM, with entry for ages five and above.
Tickets are sold only through BookMyShow, starting at Rs 1,999 for seated stands and rising through Rs 2,499, Rs 3,999, Rs 7,999 and Rs 8,999 tiers to Rs 14,999 for the Fanpit. Fans are warned to avoid resellers: during Diljit’s last India tour in 2024, tickets sold out within minutes and resellers asked several times the original price.
The Aura tour is built around his 15th studio album, Aura, a ten-track record led by the single “Kufar” featuring Manushi Chhillar, alongside the hits that made his last tour a phenomenon. After Delhi, the India leg continues to Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29 and Lucknow on December 5, with a Chandigarh date still to be announced.
