

The award-winning film ALMOST HOME starring Kamal Khan has been selected to screen at the upcoming Burbank International Film Festival and DC South Asian Film Festival in September adding to its impressive run at nearly a dozen festivals which has included the London Festival of Cinema and the Festival of Cinema NYC.
Set against the backdrop of post-war America, it tells the gripping story of Aamir, a Muslim-American Marine who struggles with PTSD and guilt over a tragic incident during his service. As he battles night terrors, prejudice and feelings of betrayal from his own community, Aamir embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting the demons that haunt him.
ALMOST HOME is a social impact film and has a goal to illuminate the Muslim Americans serving in the Armed Forces and to connect with the filmmaking community to raise awareness for Veterans Health.
