Bollywood’s favourite power couple has grown by one. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced on September 19 that they have welcomed their second daughter, with the actress sharing a simple social media post that read “Welcome baby girl” alongside an image of a tiny foot.
The announcement comes two years after the couple became parents for the first time in September 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua. They confirmed the second pregnancy earlier this year, in April, and Deepika reportedly worked through much of her third trimester, completing demanding action schedules for Atlee’s sci-fi film ‘Raaka’ opposite Allu Arjun before taking her maternity break.
The news drew an instant flood of congratulations from across the industry. Kriti Sanon, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh were among the first to send their wishes, with fans flooding the couple’s announcement with love. On the work front, both stars have marquee projects lined up: Ranveer is filming the post-apocalyptic thriller ‘Pralay’, while Deepika will share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in the much-awaited ‘King’.
