Emiway Bantai and Sunidhi Chauhan have joined forces for ‘Mumbai Sapno Ka Samandar’, a high-energy rap track from Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s upcoming film Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. Presented by T-Series, the track dropped this week ahead of the film’s October 16 theatrical release.
The unexpected pairing is the headline inside the headline: Sunidhi Chauhan, known for everything from club bangers to wedding staples, steps into rap’s world alongside Emiway — a combination nobody saw coming. The track was composed and performed by Emiway Bantai and Swaalina, with music by Memax and music direction by Emiway himself.
The song is dedicated to Mumbai’s never-dying spirit — a city that has been tested, that has always survived and always risen. The music video is a love letter to the dreamers who arrive in Mumbai with nothing, following Emiway through the city’s streets and local spots, cut against glimpses from Prahaar so the hustle on the street meets the film’s own story. The faces around him carry the hope and hustle of a city that never stops, never bows and always makes room for you. The track is out now on T-Series.
