Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer of Chaar Yaar, its new Hindi crime drama premiering October 23, and the eight-episode series may already have found its audience. Fronting the cast is Purav Jha — the digital creator whose rapid rise has made him one of India’s most-watched young faces — alongside Naman Jain, Saqib Ayub and Prayrak Mehta, backed by a heavyweight supporting ensemble featuring Sai Tamhankar, Sikandar Kher, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Tailang, Chunky Panday, Manav Gohil and Pankaj Jha.
Set against the gritty, bustling Mumbai of the early 2000s, Chaar Yaar follows four middle-class boys whose dreams collide with reality. One fateful decision — born of necessity rather than greed — pulls them into a world of gangsters, high-speed chases and relentless police pursuit, and the friendship that was their armour begins to crack under the weight of their choices. The trailer leans into the show’s promise of a “criminal startup”: heists, humour and heart, in that order.
The series is directed by Vinay Waikul and created by Waikul alongside Sambit Mishra, Saurabh Sawant and S. Hussain Zaidi, with Mishra and Sawant on writing duties. Produced by Pink Window Production and developed by BBC Studios India, Chaar Yaar streams exclusively on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries and territories from October 23.
