With three days to go before release, the makers of Ramayana turned the spotlight on two of the epic’s most loved figures. On November 2, a new character promo put Sai Pallavi’s Sita at the centre of the campaign, introducing her with the words, “Daughter of the Earth, princess of Mithila. Bound by love, guided by Dharma.” The video moves between Sita in the royal setting of Mithila and moments that establish her connection with the Earth and with Lord Rama, offering the clearest look yet at how the film frames its heroine — through devotion, love and dharma rather than spectacle alone.
The same day brought the first solo character poster for Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, the reveal fans of the actor had been waiting for. The poster shows Dubey in a striking warrior stance, bow drawn, and introduces the character as “A devoted brother. A fearless warrior. Rama’s shield.” Dubey has described the role as an honour and a responsibility, and the poster’s composition deliberately echoes the earlier solo poster of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, presenting the brothers as a pair.
The two reveals complete the film’s principal-cast introductions just days before Ramayana: Part 1 arrives in cinemas worldwide on November 5, with paid previews in North America on November 4. The film also secured anti-piracy protection from the Bombay High Court ahead of release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part epic stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash as Ravana, with Sunny Deol as Hanuman — and with Sita and Lakshman now introduced on their own terms, the campaign’s final beats belong to the family at the story’s heart.
