Maanu and Zoha Waseem have released ‘Shabnam’, the latest song from Coke Studio NU.WAV, the reimagined Coke Studio Bangla offshoot that spotlights South Asian artists. The track is the latest NU.WAV release and follows the sub-label’s run of collaborative singles pairing established and emerging names.
‘Shabnam’ is built around the idea that two people can live the same story in completely different ways. Maanu and Waseem trade verses on love, doubt and suspicion, each singing their own version of events over Talal Qureshi’s moody, late-night production — an ‘I was in love, you were in doubt’ tug-of-war rendered in silky vocal interplay.
The song arrives with a stylized music video leaning into the track’s split-perspective storytelling, and early reactions have praised the chemistry between the two singers and the production’s slow-burn pull. Watch the video above and stream ‘Shabnam’ on your platform of choice.
