Harnaaz Sandhu is currently making headlines with her big win at the Miss Universe stage, as she was honored with the coveted crown recently. Having said that, her pictures, her happy moments but most importantly her attire and moves at the national costume segment is doing rounds on the internet.
During the contest, at the national costume segment, the 21-year-old Miss Universe was seen twirling in an embellished lehenga in shades of pink and gold. She was also seen carrying a traditional wedding parasol with elegance and perfection.
In the video, Harnaaz can be seen gracefully owning the world stage with confidence, carrying the dazzling pink lehenga paired with traditional jewelry consisting of intricate and oxidized accessories, and a multi-stranded matha patti.
Speaking about her costume, Sandhu said that it “is a royal visual representation of a woman that showcases the Indian queen, strong yet delicate. Its elements are symbolic towards the protection instinct of a woman.”
Sharing the pictures on social media, Harnaaz penned a gratitude note which read, “Thank you @abhinavmishra_ for such an intricate piece of art that is my national costume and today as I walked on that stage, I felt a sense of empowerment. I dedicate my performance to all those strong women out there who face battles every day with a smile. You’re a warrior and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” Ms Sandhu wrote on Instagram.
Harnaaz Sandhu is the third Indian woman after Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen to win the title of Miss Universe.
