The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerged victorious in the much-anticipated IPL 2024 finals, defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Chennai. The win marked a special occasion, not just for the team and its fans, but also for co-owner Shah Rukh Khan. Just days after recovering from a heatstroke, Shah Rukh Khan, along with his family and friends, cheered on KKR from the stands, his energy mirroring the team’s dominant performance on the field. This victory secured the Knight Riders’ third IPL championship title, solidifying their position as one of the league’s most successful franchises.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate the win, Shah Rukh Khan shared a heartfelt message dedicated to the team. He addressed them as “his boys, his team, his champions,” acknowledging their collective effort in achieving victory.
His message highlighted the importance of teamwork. He went on to praise the contributions of various individuals who played a crucial role in the team’s success. This included the guidance of former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir, the dedication of head coach Chandrakant Pandit, and the leadership of current captain Shreyas Iyer.
