The Drishyam franchise has added another record to its collection. With the phenomenal run of Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, the franchise’s combined earnings have crossed Rs 648.65 crores, making it the fifth highest-grossing film franchise in Indian cinema — ahead of the Housefull series.
The Conclusion has done the heavy lifting. The Ajay Devgn-starrer, directed by Abhishek Pathak, earned ₹6.25 crore net on its third Sunday (Day 17), a 25 per cent jump from the previous day, taking its India net total to ₹347.35 crore. The India gross stands at ₹416.27 crore while the overseas haul has reached ₹122 crore, pushing the worldwide gross to ₹538.27 crore — making it both the highest-earning film of the franchise and Ajay Devgn’s biggest hit ever.
The thriller’s staying power is remarkable. Even in its third week, with stiff competition from big new releases, the film pulled in 290,891 footfalls across 4,331 shows at 33 per cent occupancy on its third Sunday. Produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Ajit Andhare under Panorama Studios, Viacom18 Studios and Star Studios, the film stars Ajay Devgn alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor and Kamlesh Sawant.
