On Sunny Deol’s birthday on October 19, the makers of Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak handed his fans a special treat: the film’s gripping official teaser, presenting the actor in one of his most intense avatars yet. The teaser follows a well-received motion poster and opens up the world behind that striking first look — revealing that Suryaa is about far more than meets the eye.
Opening against the backdrop of a deeply personal loss, the teaser follows a man carrying the scars of his past as he is pulled into a disturbing chain of events connected to the medical system. What begins as something personal soon opens out into something far bigger, as Suryaa starts questioning what everyone else has accepted — and uncovers a shocking truth buried beneath a seemingly legitimate system. The teaser itself declares the film is ‘inspired by unbelievable true events,’ pointing audiences toward what it calls the ‘shocking truth of our medical system.’
At the centre of it all is Sunny Deol in a markedly different space. The familiar power is intact, but this time it comes with grief, vulnerability, silence and an investigative instinct. Ravi Kishan makes a strong appearance, and Pragya Jaiswal is glimpsed as the film widens its emotional world. The teaser keeps the full nature of the truth Suryaa eventually uncovers deliberately under wraps — while promising emotion, investigation, conspiracy and action in equal measure.
Directed by M. Padmakumar and produced by Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut under the MM Moviez banner, Suryaa also stars Tanushree Chakraborty, Manish Wadhwa, Tinu Anand, Virti Vaghani, Jisshu Sengupta, Khalid Siddiqui, Anoop Trivedi and Rohit Tiwari, with music on Zee Music Company. The film is all set to release on November 20.
