Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to reunite on set for King, with a grand song sequence scheduled to be filmed in Mumbai starting today, October 26. The sequence will reportedly be shot over the course of a week, with choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant overseeing the number.
The Mumbai schedule follows earlier plans that had pointed to South Africa for the song, and it marks Deepika Padukone’s return to the King set after welcoming her second daughter. It will be the pair’s sixth film together, following Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan and Jawan.
Directed and co-written by Siddharth Anand, King features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat and Arshad Warsi. The film is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures and is slated for the Christmas 2026 window.
