Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan are teaming up again. Birla Studios announced on November 4 that Ladaku, starring Kartik Aaryan and directed by Kabir Khan, will arrive in cinemas worldwide on June 18, 2027. The film reunites the actor and director after Chandu Champion, and brings Ananya Birla’s Birla Studios into the collaboration for the first time.
Ladaku is described as a story rooted in ambition, determination and hope, drawing inspiration from extraordinary real-life events, and positioned as an emotional, family-oriented entertainer for the big screen. It is produced by Birla Studios and Kabir Khan Entertainment, and it also marks Kartik Aaryan’s debut as a producer, under his banner Dopamine Studios, alongside his starring role. Kabir Khan’s earlier work includes Bajrangi Bhaijaan and 83, films built around individuals and teams overcoming long odds through determination and resilience — familiar territory for a director returning to an inspirational true story.
No further plot details, supporting cast or filming schedule were announced with the date, and the announcement itself is the news for now: a title, a team, a production debut and a date nearly eight months away. With Chandu Champion behind them and a June 2027 opening now locked in, Kartik and Kabir have given audiences a reunion to wait for — and plenty of time to wonder what real-life story Ladaku will tell.
