Ranveer Singh is known for his bold and unconventional choices when it comes to fashion. While his recent attempt of baring it all was appreciated by many in the industry, some people seem to be offended by it. A Mumbai based lawyer and NGO filed a case against the actor on charges that his nude photoshoot for the Paper magazine hurt the sentiments of women. The Mumbai Police later filed a case against the Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor and recent news on that front is that, he has been summoned by the police for questioning this month, on August 22.

Recent reports suggest that Ranveer Singh has to visit the police station after the authorities have summoned for questioning in relation to his Paper magazine nude photoshoot. The case was registered at Chembur Police station by an NGO, after which the police decided to intervene and take action. Reports have it that authorities from the said police station were also sent to the actor’s residence to serve him a notice asking him to co-operate during the investigation. But, reportedly, they were told that he is out of town.

Readers would be aware that Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to share photos from his nude photoshoot for Paper Magazine. While his industry friends have come out in support of his choices, the NGO filed a case against the actor for hurting female sentiments and outraging a woman’s modesty. After their complaint, the Mumbai police registered an FIR against the actor under sections 292, 293 and 509 of IPC along with the section 67A of the Information Technology Act.

Speaking of his work, Ranveer Singh will be reuniting with his Simmba filmmaker Rohit Shetty for Cirkus starring Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. He also recently wrapped up the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Alia Bhatt. The family rom-com also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
