Sunny Deol has unveiled the motion poster of his upcoming crime thriller SURYAA: अंत से आरंभ तक, offering the first look at a version of the actor audiences have rarely seen. Sporting a thick beard, weathered features and an intense, brooding gaze, Deol departs from his familiar larger-than-life screen image for a role rooted in mystery and emotional conflict. The film arrives in cinemas on November 20, 2026 — just 15 days after Ramayana: Part 1, which also features the actor.
“Torn between Past and Present, He uncovers the TRUTH!” reads the film’s tagline, setting the tone for a story about a man whose search for answers draws him into a web of buried secrets and revelations. The narrative reportedly unfolds across three phases of his life and two different eras, combining crime, mystery and emotional conflict. The film also stars Ravi Kishan and Pragya Jaiswal in key roles.
SURYAA is directed by Malayalam filmmaker M. Padmakumar — best known for the acclaimed 2018 thriller Joseph — and is an official Hindi remake of that film, which starred Joju George. It is produced by MM Moviez, with Kamal Mukut, Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut on board. Kamal Mukut revealed he had signed Sunny Deol for two films — Gadar 2 and SURYAA — and began with Gadar 2, which went on to become history. Riding on that success, he says SURYAA tells the story of a common man in a never-before-seen avatar of the actor.
